Well here is the finished blanket which was blocked and sent off to it's new home. I'm really pleased so say that the Grandma to be loved it. I was really pleased with how it turned out and the yarn was lovely.

Another baby blanket
It seems like I'm on a roll with baby blankets as I've just started my third this year.
It's knitted in King Cole Cherish baby DK Lilacs Colour 1121
It's a really simple pattern
Cast on as many stitches as you need to get the width you want
K10, place maker, knit to last 10 stitches, place marker, K10
Knit 16 rows
Row 1 K10, sm (slip marker) Knit to next marker, sm K10
Row 2 K10, sm (slip marker) Purl to next marker, sm K10
Repeat these two rows until the blanket reaches the length you want, ending on row 2
Knit 16 rows
Cast off

Latest Creation and a few other knits
This is my latest creation. It's a baby blanket that I've made for a teacher at my daughter's school.
I did a simple garter stitch border and used an old baby cardigan pattern from my Mum to create the insert. I'm really pleased with how it's turned out. I hope she likes it.

This is a part of another baby blanket I made earlier in the year. I kept the insert stocking stitch as I thought it would work better with the wool.
